Dear friend,

Throughout last year, one of the key phrases on my mind was “Help me to serve thee, O my God.” And He proved faithful, as He always does.

Last year we experienced 2020’s pent-up demand released – and in a big way. We received 223 help requests in 2021 alone! Along with the increase in requests, we also experienced increased project costs. Why? Because projects became more complex, due to home repair issues being ignored in previous years. Also, materials costs increased, decreased and then increased again.

BUT, thanks to your support of Home Repairs Ministries, we were able to meet many needs.

In 2021 we:

  • completed 128 projects
  • donated over 3,500 hours of volunteer time
  • replaced water heaters, repaired decks, built ramps, installed grab bars, fixed holes that allowed critters to enter the home, repaired plumbing and so much more.

Our goal in 2022 is to remain a mobile ministry as this allows us to focus our efforts on helping at clients’ homes – and keeps our overhead costs low. We would love to serve even more homeowners this year, but to do that we need a project manager who can focus solely on managing repairs and our volunteer crews.

How can you help with this need? Here are four ways:

  • Donate. Additional funds will allow us to employ a project manager and help cover rising material costs.
  • Volunteer. Whether you’ve used a hammer or not, we can use you! There is a place for everyone on our volunteer team.
  • Pray. God has done mighty things on our behalf and we know it’s because of faithful people like you praying for us.
  • Share. We need more people to share with their friends, family, co-workers and neighbors about the work we are doing and how they can get involved.

Thank you for making the work we do possible. You are making a direct impact in homeowners’ lives – helping them live safely at home AND showing them the love of Jesus. I am so grateful for all the ways each of you support Home Repairs Ministries.
