Home Repairs Ministries (HRM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works and networks with local churches, businesses and other nonprofits to provide home repair assistance and accessibility updates to homeowners in distress situations.

The Regional Director Position is responsible for growing and managing a network of supporters, volunteers and referral sources to ensure that more homeowners in need are served in the Central City/Downtown Atlanta area (centered roughly in a line from East Atlanta to West End), while upholding the vision, mission and values established by HRM.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Good carpentry, construction and/or home repair skills & knowledge
  • Ability to manage home repair projects using volunteers with varying degrees of skill
  • Strong Christian values and ability to effectively share their faith
  • Ability to fundraise
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and able to work without close supervision
  • Hands on and willing to do all activities needed to further the mission of HRM

Responsibilities:

  • Church Recruitment
  • Coach, Train and Disciple Church Teams
  • Network with Churches, Non-Profits/Agencies/Ministries and Businesses
  • Act on and/or delegate referrals
  • Manage projects when other leadership is not available, which includes assessment, scheduling, recruitment/direction of volunteers, procuring materials and homeowner follow-up
  • Reporting of results and impact
  • Interface with Executive Director regarding needs, changes and other relevant information
  • Raise financial support, including project/material expenses and administrative costs/salary, and connect HRM to new donors, foundations and other funding organizations

Key Deliverables:

  • Increase in projects completed ( i.e. individuals and agencies served)
  • Increase in participating churches & volunteer base
  • Excellent relations created through effective and honest communication
  • High degree of responsiveness to needy homeowners, ministry partners, and other Home Repairs Ministries employees, managers and volunteers

New Hub Description

The Home Repairs Ministries Central City/Downtown Hub will be a vital community connecting point of individual needs (received by referral through other nonprofits/agencies or directly), volunteers (from churches) and material and financial resources from nonprofits, agencies and businesses. The Regional Director is the spoke of the Hub, bringing the parties and resources together to complete home repair projects to serve and help the hurting. The Regional Director also connects the churches within the Hub to serve together, growing unity in the church and enabling the Hub to handle more and bigger projects.
