October 2013 Newsletter - Volunteers: The Backbone of HRM

Volunteers 1If HRM had a “secret sauce”, this would be it! The vast majority of project work is done by volunteers.

Think a moment about the last time you had to make a service call. What was the material cost? The labor cost? Which one was more expensive? Most likely it was the labor - by quite a bit!

With volunteers, low-income homeowners get thousands of dollars of quality services at NO LABOR COST! And by working through churches, we can also offer homeowners prayer, the Gospel and a church home.

One of the churches is Mount Paran North, which recently became our newest Cobb County partner church! New church volunteers and Project Leaders have been critical in increasing the number of projects we do.
