Welcome to Home Repair Ministries, Inc.

Louisville or Bust

We have the opportunity to have a booth and network with 1,200 or so representatives from churches at a conference coming up in Louisville, KY next month (Which is easier to write than say. Evidently, Louisville’s pronunciation is a matter of some controversy; see the picture to the left!). The cool thing is, we also are co-sponsoring a disaster recovery effort in Henryville, Indiana, as part of the same trip.

The project is called “Sheds of Hope”. These sheds, which we will help build, give property owners devastated by a natural disaster (in this case, an EF4 tornado - the second most powerful class) a place to store personal belongings that they are able to recover, as well as tools and supplies used in the repair or rebuilding of their home.

Jim, Sue (one of our indispensable volunteers) and I have been working hard to create the booth materials that will tell churches “the HRM story”. God has really been our provision through this - our friends at Wakefield-Beasley (the architectural firm that has given us office space) gave us a very generous deal to print and help with our booth display, so thanks and our gratitude to them! We hope to come back with some new Ministry Partners and a lot of church contact names that we can follow up with about HRM!
