July 2013 eNewsletter - God, Challenge and Change

God never changes (Malachi 3:6), but He is very interested in changing those who follow Him, making us more like Jesus and more effective for the Kingdom. God often allows difficult circumstances and challenges into our lives as one way to change us (a process called sanctification). The apostle Paul’s ministry grew exponentially as he faced many hardships and challenges (2 Corinthians 11:23-33).

Abraham went from being a nomadic herdsman in a foreign land, to becoming the “father” of God’s people, when he responded to God’s challenge to leave his land and family (Genesis 12:1-3). How are the ministry and those we serve dealing with change? This month, I’d like to share a little of that with you.
