February 2014 Newsletter - Laying a Different Kind of Groundwork

Johnny, a retired truck driver, is, along with his wife, caring for his 88-year old father-in-law, who had an aneurism recently.

They needed a concrete walkway to make it easier to get his father-in-law into and out of the house. He was due back from the hospital, so I had to scramble a bit for volunteers.

HRM staff member, Jim Eschenberg, came along, as did two people from Perimeter. None of them were familiar with concrete work, but they were quick studies and did a great job; the walkway looked great.
